Old Chest of EmotionsToday, weary of copious trials and tribulations Desired to write poems of felicity Opened the old corroded chest of emotions To search within for what joy I could findOld Chest of Emotions

Remembered the shaky hand that held mine As an “I love you” escaped his lips

And a myriad broken dreams A forgotten notebook painted with colorful letters A faulty mem
